Sarah Dawn Mitchell and Thomas Allen Holt were married September 13, 2003 at Clark Gardens in Mineral Wells. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mitchell. She is the granddaughter of Helen Mitchell and the late Preston Mitchell of Mineral Wells and the late Myron and Ruth Outhouse of Perrin. He is the son of James Holt and Deborah Wallace of Houston and grandson of Dorothy Holt and the late Orren Holt of La Marque and the late Frank and Madeline Clatworthy of St. Albans, West Virginia.
The bride chose a formal white silk gown overlaid with layers of silk tulle with a strapless bodice, delicate beading and a soft chapel length train. She wore an elbow length veil of bridal illusion and a handmade crystal and pearl necklace she designed. Matrons of honor were Jennifer McCann, the bride's sister of Fort Worth and Amanda Hise. Bridesmaids were Bonnie Holt, the groom's sister, Erin Cooper, Roxie Blue, Jennifer Bellah, Leah Mitchell and Hailee Willingham. The flower girl was Ashlyn Cox. The bride's house party included, Meagan Maples, Lisa Sneath and Heather Haskell. Best man was Brent McHale. Groomsmen were Eric Scheibe, and Eric Keown, and Mason Mitchell. The ring bearer was Hunter Francis. Ushers were Jacy McCann, Jacob Helton, Tammo Heeren and David Hemmert.
They are graduates of Texas Tech University, her with a B.A. in Design Communications, him with an M.S. in Electrical Engineering. They are employed with D Magazine in Dallas and the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C., respectively. After honeymooning in the Bahamas the couple will reside in Maryland.
