Leon and Mary Smith of Hannibal have announced the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ann Smith, to Kenneth Shawn McCutcheon.
He is the son of Kenneth and Karen McCutcheon of Versailles.
The prospective bride is a 1997 graduate of Hannibal High School.
She earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree with emphasis on accountancy in 2001 from Central Missouri State University and a master of accountancy degree in 2002 from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She is employed as a collateral examiner at Wells Fargo Business Credit in St. Louis and was recently promoted to officer of Wells Fargo Business Credit.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Morgan County RII High School.
He earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree with emphasis in business management and a bachelor of science in business administration degree with emphasis in human resource management in 2003 from Central Missouri State University.
He is employed as a credit manager at Wells Fargo Financial in St. Louis and was recently promoted to branch manager.
The wedding is planned for 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25, at Holy Family Church in Hannibal.
