Welsch - Reimers

Miss Allison Lillian Welsch
Weds
Mr. Chris Andrew Reimers

Miss Allison Lillian Welsch and Mr. Chris Andrew Reimers were united in marriage on Saturday, August 9, 2003 at River Oaks Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Dr. Gerald B. Ray and The Rev. Donald Munton performed the ceremony. Music was provided by the Houston Children's Chorus with organist, Mr. Stephen Roddy and harpist, Mrs. Carolyn Tait. A seated dinner and dance followed the ceremony at La Colombe D'Or, with music by Commercial Art. The night before the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Heights Fire Station.

Allison is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Andrew Welsch of Houston, Texas. Her grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Albert Welsch of Austin, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Oliphant of Horseshoe Bay, Texas and the late Mrs. Lillian Oliphant.

Chris is the son of Mr. Erwin Gustov Reimers of Houston, Texas and Ms. Jayne Reimers, also of Houston, Texas. His grandparents are Mrs. Margaret Alberti, of Houston, Texas; the late Mr. Hugo Alberti and the late Mr. and Mrs. Everett Alexander Nichols.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her brother Glenn Richards Welsch, Allison chose a formal white silk gown overlaid with silk tulle, designed by Vera Wang. Elegant in its simplicity, the gown featured a strapless bodice embellished with delicate beading. The gently flared A-line skirt fell to slipper length and ended in a train of court length.

Mrs. Samantha Fisher, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Melissa Janacek served as Matrons of Honor. Bridesmaids were Alisha Baergen, Terri O'Banon, Christa Moore, and Wendy Tiderman. They wore formal strapless gowns of azalea pink silk overlaid with mango organza, giving an iridescent effect. The flower girls, in matching tea length dresses, were Julianna Falcone, Grace Faulkner, Madeline Faulkner, and Morgan Fisher. Special attendants Emma Welsch, Wendy Falcone, Amy Faulkner, and Amy Hodge who read scripture, also participated.

Serving in the Houseparty were Kelly Bowman, Catha Duck, Tricia Heitman, Amy Hudson, Jenny Matteson, Susannah May, Debbie Richardson, and Laura Wall.

Mr. Donald Janacek, served as Best Man and Thomas Brown, Chett Heitman, Daniel LeNeveu, Kyle Nichols, and Reed Wynne, served as Groomsmen. Ushers were Damian Falcone, Nicholas Falcone, Kimberlin Faulkner, Todd Fisher, Noel Janacek, Tyson Jamison, and David LeNeveu.

Allison is a graduate of Texas Women's University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, and The University of Texas with a Masters in Nursing. She is currently employed at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research in the Pediatric Rehabilitation Program. Chris is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Design and is currently employed at Engineering and Fire Investigation as a Project Manager.

Following a honeymoon of sailing in the Caribbean, Allison and Chris will reside in Houston.
