West - Lumpkin

Tamara Ruth West and Sydney Patton Lumpkin Jr. were united in marriage on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Walden Yacht Club. It was a gazebo wedding on Lake Conroe officiated by Reverend Nancy B. Kellond with a scripture read by Daniel West Jr., the bride's brother. Pianist Courtnay Holiday, violinist Edith Posey and guitarist Armando Rodriguez provided the music. A luau reception immediately followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dan West and the late Marilyn West of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth Dullnig and the late Emil Dullnig, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Irving M. West.

This date was specially chosen, as it would have marked the 40th wedding anniversary of Dan and Marilyn West.

Tammy is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Currently, she is a drama teacher at Carter Academy in the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Kay B. Lumpkin and the late Sydney P. Lumpkin Sr. of Spring, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. Oscar O. Broughton and the late Wanda W. Broughton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. C. Pat Lumpkin.

Pat is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Currently, he is a service manager for Wise Fox Pools in Conroe, Texas.

Honey Warwick, cousin of the bride, served as the Matron of Honor and M.J. "Jody" LaBorde, lifelong friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Following a honeymoon in the Bahamas, Pat and Tammy will reside in Montgomery, Texas.
