Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd F. Beaston of Hannibal will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 16, 2001.
Oreta Smith and Lloyd Beaston were united in marriage on July 16, 1941, in Palmyra. Justice of the Peace Stewart Johnson officiated.
Mrs. Beaston is the daughter of the late Pearl and Howard Smith. Mr. Beaston is the son of the late Allie Beaston and Effie Myers.
They are the parents of two sons, Lloyd W. (Bill) Beaston of Lakewood Colo., and Edward L. Beaston of El Paso, Texas. They have five grandchildren, Roger and Claudia Beaston, both of Germany, Tom Beaston of Lakewood, Becky Beaston of the state of Arizona and Markus Beaston of the state of New Mexico.
Mr. Beaston is retired from the Board of Public Works and Mrs. Beaston is retired from The Famous.
