Miss Allison Leigh Fox and Mr. Wesley Wayne Tolbert were united in marriage on Friday, March 7, 2003 at seven o'clock in the evening in a candlelight ceremony at River Oaks Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Mr. Dennis Malcolm of Lafayette, Louisiana performed the double ring ceremony. The music was provided by organist, Mrs. Adrienne Fry, and Mrs. Tamara Gordon, violinist, cousin of the bride. Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held in the Grande Ballroom of the Houstonian Hotel with music provided by Yvonne Washington. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's mother, stepfather, and grandparents at the BraeBurn Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas Fox of Bellaire, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Edna Milam of Marble Falls, Texas and the late Mr. James Edward Oliver and of the late Mrs. Virginia Gaddy Fox and Mr. Raymond Meese Fox of Houston. Allison attended Bellaire High School and Colorado State University and is currently employed as a Senior Registered Associate at Merrill Lynch.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Maria Chamberlain and the late Reverend Duke Tolbert of Dexter, Missouri. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Wood of Mountain View, Missouri and Mrs. Louise Tolbert and the late Mr. James Wesley Tolbert of Maldon, Missouri. Wes graduated from Dexter High School and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. He completed four years of military service with the United States Army and is currently employed by Merrill Lynch.
Miss Teri Emond of Houston served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Dr. Sandra Alvarez-Coke of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Linda Johnston Fox of Bellaire, Mrs. Melissa Hall Wilson of Houston, and Mrs. Emily Tolbert Crow, sister of the groom, of Columbia, Missouri. Miss Sarah Tolbert, daughter of the groom, was the Junior Bridesmaid.
Mr. Pat Dunn of New Caney, Texas, served as Best Man. The groomsmen were Mr. Blake Hill of Houston, Mr. James Michael Fox, brother of the bride, of Bellaire, Mr. Tim Chamberlain, stepfather of the groom, of Dexter, Missouri and Dr. Brad Crow of Columbia, Missouri. Serving as Junior Groomsmen were Mr. Cameron Michael Fox and Mr. Blake Alexander Fox of Bellaire. Mr. Justin Thomas Fox was the ring bearer, and Mr. Beau Chamberlain of Dexter, Missouri, served as usher.
Following their honeymoon to the island of Maui in Hawaii, the couple is residing in Houston, Texas.
