Miss Winifred Wallace Kelsey and Mr. Robert Carleton Riser were married at 6:30 in the evening on Saturday, December 14, 2002, at The Bayou Club in Houston. The Reverend William Clark performed the ceremony. Following the ceremony, the bride's family hosted a reception with music by the Enso String Quartet and Memphis Train. The day before the wedding, Mrs. Michael M. Fowler hosted a luncheon for the bride and her girlfriends. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the River Oaks Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mavis P. Kelsey, Jr. of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Mavis P. Kelsey and the late Mrs. Mavis P. Kelsey and the late Mr. and Mrs. McClelland Wallace on Houston.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Olin Riser of Atlanta, Georgia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Olin Riser of Alpine, Alabama, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert London of Johnson City, Tennessee.
Mrs. Gregory Francis Connor, of Baltimore, Maryland, served her cousin as Matron of Honor. Miss Mary Frances Griffith of Houston, goddaughter of the bride, served as a program reader. Mr. Olin Riser, father of the groom, served his son as Best Man.
The bride is a graduate of St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire, and Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. She received her Masters of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She was most recently the Executive Director of Scenic Austin.
The groom is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Houston and The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is a project manager for Hines.
The couple will reside in Moscow, Russia.
