Reverend Michael Barrett celebrated the nuptial Mass, with Reverend Ralph March as co-celebrant. Ceremony music was provided by organist Bruce Power, trumpeter George Chase, and soloist Ralph Sanders. A reception followed at the Warwick Hotel with music by The Grooves of Austin, Texas. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Houston Racquet Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph McConn, Jr. of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Salem Francis McLean of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. James Joseph McConn of Houston, Texas, and the late Mayor Jim McConn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raul Rizo-Patron of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Sr. Carlos Tori Arena, the late Sra. Hilda G. de Tori, the late Sr. Raul O. Rizo-Patron, and Graciela B. de Rizo-Patron, all of Lima, Peru.
Serving their sister as Maids of Honor were Miss Carolyn Ann McConn of Washington, D.C. and Miss Erin Elizabeth McConn of Houston, Texas. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor Arnaiz and Mrs. Brettne Block Bloom of New York City, New York, Miss Jennifer Ruth Buckley of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Courtney Smith Childers of Charlotte, North Carolina, Miss Ashley Suzanne Dietz of Atlanta, Georgia, Miss Katie Ann Dissmeyer of Portola Valley, California, and Miss Amanda Elizabeth Hicks of Washington, D.C. Miss Molly Bridget McConn, sister of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid.
Serving their brother as Best Men were Mr. Jose Tori RizoPatron of Washington, D.C. and Mr. Rafael Tori Rizo-Patron of London, England. Groomsmen were Mr. Christopher Patrick McConn, Mr. James Joseph McConn III, and Mr. Andrew David McConn, all of Houston, Texas, brothers of the bride, Mr. Daniel Patrick Walsh of San Carlos, California, and Mr. Patrick Adair Denney of Birmingham, Alabama. Master Andrew John McConn, Jr., cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Honorary Attendants were Miss Michelle Renee Beddingfield and Ms. Katherine Grace Delaney of Houston, Texas, Miss Christine Vinson Lawhon of La Jolla, California, Miss Lore Parker Molsen and Miss Deborah Capera Ryan of Dallas, Texas.
The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Spanish. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
The groom is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Alabama and Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He received his MBA from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, Arizona. He is a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.
Following a honeymoon to Nevis, British West Indies, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
