Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Tomjanovich announce the marriage of their daughter, Melissa to Mr. Adam Mendelsohn of London, England. The Reverend John F. Robbins officiated the ceremony at St. Anne Catholic Church on Saturday evening, September 7th. A reception followed the ceremony at the Houston Polo Club coordinated by Gregory Events. Along with Herald trumpeters announcing their arrival, the couple was presented in a horse drawn carriage, which led the guests to an illuminated tent on the club's grounds. On the eve of the wedding, the Groom's parents, Mrs. Susan Mendelsohn and Mr. Fred Kersey along with Ms. Pamela Mendelsohn hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at El Tiempo Restaurant in Houston. Mrs. Tami Morris of Houston hosted the Bridal Luncheon in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Melissa wore a sophisticated ivory silk-faced satin strapless sheath adorned with buds and hand rolled flowers. Characteristics also included an attached chapel train, an all lace bodice and deep lace hemline border with tiny hand rolled flowers throughout.
Serving as the Bride's Maid of Honor was Melissa's sister, Dr. Nicole Tomjanovich of Houston, Texas. The Bridesmaids were Kelly Melchor of Houston, Texas; Audra Martin of Pescara, Italy; Elizabeth Fegley of New York City; Melanie Madigan of New York City; Sari Tuschman of Aspen, Colorado; Kathryn Graml of Houston, Texas; Melissa Caughlin of Houston, Texas; Emily Swift-Webre of New Orleans, Louisiana; Tina Boutros of Houston, Texas; and Emily Burke of Houston, Texas. The Flower Girl was Katlin Alexander.
Serving as the Groom's Best Man was his brother, Daniel Mendelsohn of New York City. The Groomsmen included Jon Michael Malick-Mendelsohn of Oxford, England; Trey Tomjanovich of Houston, Texas; Magnus Pitt of Oxford, England; Peter Crucioli of Oxford, England; Michael Sutherland of London, England; Paul Valentine of London, England; James O'Connor of Oxford, England; and Ralph Kennedy of London, England. The Ringbearer was Trip Brown.
Melissa is the Granddaughter of Stella Migas of Hamtramack, Michigan and a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder. Adam is the Grandson of Barbara Buttel of Ashville, North Carolina and a graduate of Dartington in Devon, England. The couple will return to their residence in London, England before an upcoming move to New York City.
