Miss Michelene Antoinette Graham and Mr. Garner Chase Galbraith were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, August 24, 2002, at half past seven in the evening at Emmaus Catholic Church in Lakeway, Texas. Reverend Sean Horrigan officiated at the double ring ceremony. Organist Jean Fuller, trumpeters, Dr. Robert Cannon and Dr. Timothy Shaffer, and soloist Dr. David Stevens provided the music. Readers were Miss Mariah Lynn Denny and Miss Jennifer Reed Peacher. A reception followed at The Hills of Lakeway Country Club with music by the Bullet Proof Brass Band.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Graham of Dallas, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Clarence Smith of Houston, Mr. Phillip Edward Kielpinski of Amarillo, and the late Mrs. Mildred Graham Kielpinski and Mr. A. L. Graham.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Thomas Oliver of Graham, Texas, and the late Mr. G. W. "Dub" Galbraith. He is the grandson of Mrs. James B. Post of Arlington, Mrs. Gervis F. Galbraith of Abilene and the late Mr. James B. Post and Mr. Gervis F. Galbraith.
Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father; the bride wore a gown of silk zibeline designed by Vera Wang. The bride's cathedral length veil is a family heirloom of antique Brussels lace, which was also worn by her mother and grandmother.
Sister of the bride, Miss Tanny Ursula Graham served as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amber Galbraith Dean, sister of the groom, Mrs. Courtney Smith Lippincott, Mrs. Shannon Smith Strehli and Mrs. Christiana Smith Stojanik, all cousins of the bride. Other bridesmaids were Miss Stephanie Leigh Bolton, Miss Victoria Faubion, Mrs. Courtney Hill Fertitta, Miss Tracy Christine Walker and Miss Lauren Ann Wedell.
Mr. Grant Wayne Galbraith, brother of the groom and Mr. Thomas Chadwick Hanson served as Best Men. Groomsmen were Mr. William Lee Graham, Jr., brother of the bride, Mr. Leeland Andrew Allen, Mr. Cameron Timothy Bennett, Mr. Trevor Wythe Caviness, Mr. Stacy Scott Eleuterius, Mr. Robert Paul Foley, Mr. Mark Edward Lilly and Mr. Robert Graham Street.
Members of the house party were Miss Melinda Elaine Aikman, Mrs. Ellen Mercer Fernandes, Mrs. Wilson Pate Johnson, Miss Jennifer Reed Peacher, Miss Rosemary Elizabeth Paxton Ramsey, Mrs. Bethanne Rutledge Scott, Mrs. Meredith Byrd Singleton, Mrs. Kristen Hosemann Twomey, Mrs. Caroline Ferrell Wall and Mrs. Katherine O'Brien Wallin. Ushers included Mr. Robert Graham Bennett, Mr. Joe Will Bullock, Mr. Michael Wilson Leake, Mr. Nathan Joseph Martin, Mr. Gordon Sparks Nees, and Mr. Charles Preston Reese.
Michelene is a graduate of Tascosa High School in Amarillo and the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor of Journalism and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She earned her Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and is currently employed by TXU Energy. Chase is a graduate of Graham High School in Graham, Texas and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He is currently employed by Jackson-Shaw Company.
Following a honeymoon to Africa, the couple will reside in Dallas, Texas.
