Miss Jacqueline Michelle Hebert and Mr. James Robert Kimbrough II were united in marriage on Saturday, January 5, 2002, at six o'clock in the evening at Foundry United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Reverend Godfrey Hubert officiated the double-ring ceremony. Scott Mouton, organist, along with the Quartet "One Faith" provided music for the occasion. A reception followed at The Houstonian in the Aspen Room with music provided by Commercial Art. The bridal luncheon, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at The Manor House. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at County Line Restaurant.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Harvey of Cypress, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawlan Garner of Crosby, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Kimbrough of Conroe, Texas. The groom's grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Les Kimbrough of Fort Worth, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Brown of Fort Worth, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her stepfather, the bride selected a gown of Ivory Italian Matte Satin and pearls designed by Rena Koh Couture, featuring a strapless bodice with embroidery below the bust and around the classic Basque design. A band of rhinestones outlined the waist along with scattered rhinestones on a bolero jacket. She wore a fingertip veil and a tiara of delicately patterned silver flowers accented with rhinestones. Her bouquet was a nosegay arrangement of Ivory roses.
Miss Alicia Rider of Austin, Texas, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Lauren Hebert, sister of the bride, currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and stationed in Tucson, Arizona; Miss Leslie Mikus of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs. Lisa Galle Wright of Houston, Texas. The bridesmaids wore black two-piece dresses with pearls and embroidered work on the straps and neckline and designed by B2. Bouquets carried were red roses. Flowergirls were the bride's nieces, Savannah Schreiber of Houston and Tesha Landry of Gonzales, Texas.
Mr. Andrew Casas of Houston, Texas served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. John Tipton of Houston, Texas, Mr. Steve Klein of Houston, Texas, and Mr. Don Fake of Magnolia, Texas. Cameron Tipton of Houston served as ringbearer. Serving as ushers were Mr. Mike Mitchell of San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Rip Woodard of Shertz, Texas, and Ron Glen and Donovan Schreiber, nephews of the bride.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Cypress Creek High School and is currently attending the University of Houston majoring in Elementary Education. The groom is a 1982 graduate of Scarborough High School and a 1986 graduate of Sam Houston State University where he majored in Marketing. He is the owner of Upchurch Kimbrough Company.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, West Indies, the couple will reside in Houston.
