On Saturday evening, November 3, 2001, at six thirty, Miss Elizabeth Cole Vogelsang became the bride of Mr. Kendall Larkin Roehe at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, Texas. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Forsyth Collier and the late Mr. Paul George Vogelsang, Jr. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul George Vogelsang, Sr., the late Francis Butler and the late Mayde Marie Waddell Butler (whose wedding ring was chosen by the bride for her own), of Richmond, Texas, and the great granddaughter of Olive Waddell and the late C. Escorted by her brothers David Waddell Vogelsang and Paul George Vogelsang, III, the bride wore a traditional gown of ivory Duchess satin completely overlaid with hand beaded Brussels lace. An antique Edwardian coronet held the cathedral length hand beaded veil of matching lace. She carried a Prayer Book that was hand beaded by her mother.
Honor attendants included Heather Briana Roehe, sister of the groom, Linda Cones Biehunko, of Rosenberg, Texas, Karma Kristen Meinardus, of Richmond, Texas, and Christina Alexandra Mantzuranis, cousin of the bride, of Austin, Texas. They wore long slip gowns of berry, overlaid with lightly jeweled silk of the same color. Bouquets of flowers in the berry tones with cascading ribbons completed their ensembles. Miss Brittani Ann Biehunko served as junior attendant and wore a dress of coordinating shades and carried a round ball of pave' roses attached to a burgundy cord.
Paul George Vogelsang, III of Richmond, Texas served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were David Waddell Vogelsang, Anthony Ray "Tony" Roehe, and Matthew Peter Tielkmeijer all of Richmond. The ring bearer was John Thomas Jakubik, IV. The ushers were Brian Joseph Butler, of Wharton, Texas, Marshall Cole Butler, Charles William Butler, Matthew Alan Maresh and Nicholas Aaron Maresh, cousins of the bride, all of Richmond, Texas.
A candlelight reception followed in the Forest Ballroom at The Houstonian, where strolling violinists greeted the arriving guests.
