Miss Jennifer Kay Rambousek and Mr. Joseph Earl Sheehan were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The wedding mass was officiated by Father Niall Nolan. Scripture readings were given by Mrs. Julia Defrance, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Pamela Striplin, aunt of the bride. Solos were performed by Miss Allison Evans and Mr. Blake Windlow, friends of bride and groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Marriott West Loop Hotel in the Glass Palace with DJ music provided by Sound Connections. On the afternoon before the wedding, a bridal luncheon was held at Houston's given by the bride. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's family hosted a rehearsal dinner at La Strada.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rambousek of Den Haag, Holland. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Rambousek and the late Mr. Joseph Rambousek of Albany, Oregon, and Mr. and Mrs. William Miotke of Sublimity, Oregon. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sheehan of Laredo, TX. He is the grandson of Mrs. Leta Gard and the late Mr. Earl Gard of Dowagiac, Michigan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sheehan of White Water, Wisconsin.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by both her father and mother, Jennifer chose a gown designed by Michaelangelo with a three-tiered veil and tiara. For jewelry, she wore a single pearl necklace and earrings borrowed from her sister, the maid of honor. The white silk satin gown featured a beaded bodice with a scoop neckline and an embroidered organza A-line skirt with satin ribbon hem embellishing the chapel train.
Serving the bride as her Maid of Honor was her sister, Miss Meredith Rambousek of College Station, TX. Her bridesmaids were Miss Brandes Lunsford, of Houston, TX, Miss Kimberly Chaddick, of College Station, TX, Miss Kathleen Gagnon, of Dallas, TX, Miss Courtney See, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Miss Allison Evans, of Houston, TX. Flower girls were Rowen and Cadence Hornbeck, nieces of the groom.
The groom's best man was his cousin, Adam Meyers, of Dowagiac, Michigan. His groomsmen were Mr. Jake Puig, of San Antonio, TX, Mr. Ruben Ayala, of Laredo, TX, Mr. Ed Flores, of Los Angeles, CA, Mr. John Linhart, of Philadelphia, PA, and Mr. Ryan Phillips, of Colorado Springs, CO. Ushers included Mr. Polo Navarro, of College Station, TX, Mr. Jacob Wiesman, of College Station, TX, Mr. Courtney Reece, of Carrolton, TX, and Mr. Rush Roberts, of San Antonio, TX.
The bride is a graduate of James E. Taylor High School in Katy, TX, and Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing. Jennifer is a Business Consultant employed with Andersen.
The groom is a graduate of United High School in Laredo, TX and Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Joseph is currently employed as a Design Engineer at Baker Hughes.
The couple resides in their new home in Houston, Texas. A honeymoon to Hawaii is planned for April 2002.
