Jeannette Haney Sirois and Brian Todd Muecke were united in marriage on Saturday, November 24, 2001 at seven o'clock in the evening at Chapelwood United Methodist Church. The Reverend Doctor Carey Sayers officiated the ceremony and Robert Carl Ihrig, uncle of the groom, gave the scripture reading. Music for the ceremony was provided by Joby Bell, organist, Andrea Jaber, soloist, Dan Shipman, trumpeter, and a string quartet from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Omni Hotel with music by The Next Level Band. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Tony's ballroom. Mrs. Eileen Rannals, grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Janet Derauf, aunt of the bride, hosted a bridal luncheon at Brennan's the day before the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Sirois of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Eileen Haney Rannals, the late Mr. Luther John Rannals and Mr. John James Haney, all of Houston, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Eugene Sirois of Fort Madison, Iowa.
The groom is the son of Doctor and Mrs. Thomas W. Muecke of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Reverend Arnold John Ihrig of Karnes City, Texas and the late Helen Stewart Ihrig of Houston, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Otto Muecke of Karnes City and Austin, Texas.
The bride wore a strapless A-line gown with a sweep train and matching shawl designed by Helen Morley of New York.
Angela Faught Dina served as Matron of Honor and Becah Lynn Lavender served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Claire Claypool, Lisa Renee Dull, Rachael Ann Muecke, Jennifer Limmer Thomas, Rachael Ann Muecke, Julie Wills Preston, and Julie Wills Preston. Haley Marguerite Derauf, and Alexandra Blair Younger served as flower girls. Members of the House Party were Kelly Elizabeth Derauf, Taylor Marie Holzauer, Katherine Paige Ihrig, and Victoria Gale Younger.
Thomas Wayne Muecke, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were, Garrick Michael Behelfer, Alexander Leslie Hewes, Jed Lee Howard, Jr., James Harry Painter IV, Bradley Louis Radoff and Jason Beaub Ryan. Ushers were Robert Jason Anderson, Darin Daniel Preston, Gregg Matthew Schultz, and John Lawrence Sirois.
The bride graduated form Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, Texas and attended Texas Christian University where she pledged Chi Omega. She graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is employed by Williams Gas Pipelines - Transco.
The groom graduated from Bellaire Senior High School in Houston, Texas. He attended The University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Following their honeymoon to Zihuatenejo, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
