Miss Michelle Lynn Parks and Mr. Jeffrey Hayden Foutch were united in marriage on Saturday, October 27, 2001, at half after seven in the evening at The Church of St. John the Divine in Houston, Texas.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Reverend Laurens Allen Hall, Rector of St. John the Divine.
Music was provided by Mr. John Gearhart, Director of Music; Mr. Steven Newberry, conductor and carillonneur; The Ambient Brass Ensemble; and Mrs. Nancy Curtis, soprano.
Mrs. Anny Whyte, a close family friend of the bride, gave the reading.
A reception followed at Houston Country Club where guests were greeted with flamenco guitar music by The Marc Garvin Guitar Trio, followed by dinner and dancing to The Ricky Diaz Orchestra.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Houston Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Stirling Meyer and Mr. Michael Lynn Parks, all of Houston.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Doris Warren Smith of Kerrville and the late Mr. Joseph Bailey Smith, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lynn Parks of San Angelo, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Dianne Glatte Foutch and the late Mr. Robert Alan Foutch, both of Houston.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Avery Glatte, formerly of Houston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Denzil Foutch of Peoria, Illinois.
Miss Mica Lynn Parks served her sister as maid of honor.
The bride's attendants were Miss Allison England Foutch and Miss Hayden Margaret Foutch, daughters of the groom, of Houston; Miss Isabella Luciana Uribe, niece of the bride, of Key Biscayne, Florida; Master Hudson Knox Barineau, Master John Jamison Britton, Jr., and Master John Henry Wilson, all of Houston.
Mr. Fielding Lewis Cocke served as best man.
The Groom's ushers were Mr. Richard Tone Colt, Mr. Bruce Goodwin Crawford, Mr. Chadwick Graham Dodd, Mr. Peter Vannatta Groetzinger, Mr. Peter Kurth Jameson, Mr. Steven Benjamin Jenkins, all of Houston, and Mr. Keith Arnold Cox of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
The bride is a graduate of St. John's School in Houston and Georgetown University in Washington, the District of Columbia, where she received a Bachelor of Science Language Arts in French.
She is also a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, where she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence, and a graduate of the University of Houston School of Business, where she earned a Master of Business Administration.
She is currently a Vice President with Enron Corp. in Houston.
The groom is a graduate of St. John's School in Houston and the University of Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Environmental Engineering.
He is also a graduate of the University of St. Thomas Cameron School of Business, where he earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
He is a partner in Falcon Gas Storage Company, Inc.
Following their honeymoon trip, the couple will be at home in Houston, Texas.
