Miss Angela Dawn Clark and Mr. John Chiles Graham were united in marriage on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at seven o'clock in the evening at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. James W. Moore. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Rob Landes, the Elston String Quartet, soloist Leigh Shipman, and trumpeter Steve Warkentin. The reception followed at Lakeside Country Club with music provided by Grady Gaines and the Texas Upsetters. On the eve of the wedding the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Petroleum Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Clark of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lyndell Goldman of Quincy, Illinois and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lavern Clark of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith Graham, III of Graham, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Edwin Smith Graham, Jr. and the late Mr. Edwin Smith Graham, Jr. of Graham, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Chiles, Jr. of Austin, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a designer gown by Vera Wang.
Grace Christine Coscia served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Joy Carpenter Allen, Suzanne Freid Clark, Suzy Michel Graham, Rachel Louise Guy, Leanne Weitzenkorn Kelly, Tracy Heinrich Rutan, and Kari Viola Stadler. Members of the house party included Lora Lee Brown, Beth Perrin Cox, Tiffany Lynn Kendall, and Jane Vaught Snowden. Flower girls were Erika, Tara, and Taylor Keil, cousins of the bride.
Edwin Smith Graham, IV served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mathew Warren Bates, William David Clark, Erich Bradley Conrad, Jeffery Jon Johnson, Clifford Edward Kuykendall, William Scott Lewis and Brian Allen Reed. Serving as ushers were Justin Rayce Johnson, Christopher Conley Juban, Joseph William Lee, and Oliver Graham Pate.
The bride is a graduate of Stratford High School in Houston and Texas A&M University, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is a trainer with Bank of America in Houston.
The groom is a graduate of Graham High School in Graham, Texas and The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is a landman at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in Houston.
Following a honeymoon trip to Grand Cayman, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
