Miss Anne Christine Walzel and Mr. Robert Nathaniel Kreamer were united in marriage on Saturday, November 3rd, 2001 at half past seven o'clock in the evening at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The Reverend Tom McReavy, C.S.B. officiated the double ring ceremony. Music for the ceremony was provided by trumpeter Dan Shipman, soloist Leigh Shipman, and the Encore String Quartet. Prayers and scripture readings were given by the bride's childhood friends, Miss Marisa Leigh Jennings, Miss Jennifer Carroll Joseph, Miss Laura Michelle Oshlo, and Miss Mary Margaret Pearson. Following the ceremony, the bride's father hosted a seated dinner and dance at the St. Regis with music performed by Memphis Train.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. John William Walzel and Mrs. Patricia Munchak Walzel, both of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney Edward Walzel of Houston and Mrs. Alyce Demchok Munchak and the late Mr. Theodore Joseph Munchak of Rome, Georgia.
The groom is the son of Mr. Robert Albert Kreamer, Esq. and Mrs. Barbara Osborn Kreamer, Esq., both of Baltimore, Maryland. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Kreamer, Esq. of Baltimore, Maryland and Mr. James Grafton Osborn, Sr., Esq. and the late Mrs. Nancy Leigh Osborn of Aberdeen, Maryland.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ethereal gown designed by Badgely Mischka. She carried a delicate bouquet of lily of the valley and presented her grandmother with a single rose in memory of her late grandfather, Tedd Munchak.
Miss Susan Lee Benfield Anton of Washington, D.C. attended her friend as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Kristen Anne Wilson and Miss Sarah Elizabeth Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia and Miss Jennifer Joy Dora of Houston, Texas, all cousins of the bride, and Miss Lisa Kathleen Laux of New York, New York.
Mr. Edward Harris Fenster of New York, New York served his friend as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Paul Benz of Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Spencer Edward Dickinson III of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mr. Peter Lawrence Garran of London, England, all friends of the groom.
Miss Jordan Lee Jacqueline Dora, cousin of the bride, and Miss Anderson McGuire Pearce, friend of the bride, served as flower girls.
Serving as ushers were Messrs. Franklin Russell Peters and James Robert Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, both uncles of the bride.
The bride graduated from St. John's School in Houston, Texas and earned Bachelor's degrees in English and dance from Northwestern University. Anne is the owner of Powerhouse Pilates.
The groom graduated from Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts and earned Bachelor's degrees in history and communications from Northwestern University. He is currently employed by Enron in Houston, Texas.
Following a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nathaniel Kreamer will reside in Houston, Texas.
