CONKLIN - ROWLAND

Miss Casey Annette Conklin
Weds
Mr. Edgar Coleman Rowland III

Miss Casey Annette Conklin and Mr. Edgar Coleman Rowland III were united in marriage on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at six o'clock in the evening at Saint Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Dr. Laurence A. Gipson. Music for the ceremony was provided by George Ellis Mims, organist, Steve Wenig, trumpeter, and Deborah Pyle, soloist. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Omni Hotel with music by Off the Record. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Redwood Grill. A bridal luncheon was hosted by family friends the day of the wedding at the Junior League of Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Cynthia B. Conklin and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Conklin of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. George F. Conklin and the late Mr. George F. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Casey wore a strapless silk satin gown embroidered with silver threads and tiny crystal beads on the bodice. Flowing in soft box pleats, the full circular skirt swept into a chapel-length train. To compliment her gown, Casey chose a crystal tiara and a bias tulled-edged veil with cascading tiers that extended beyond the length of her train. The Bride carried her maternal grandmother's prayer book and a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis.

Kelly Ann Conklin of Houston, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor, and Dawn Oldham Koenig of Houston served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Rowland McSwain of Waco, sister of the groom, Holly Olivia Holmes of San Francisco, California, and Holly Suzanne Montgomery, of the Woodlands. Members of the house party were Anne Elizabeth Alschwede of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Christine Jung McAlister of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Shannon Elizabeth Kors of Los Angeles, California.

Edgar Coleman Rowland, Jr., father of the groom, served as Best Man. The groomsmen were Edward Henry Bodde IV, Darren Douglas Dow, Matthew Roy Lund, and Raymond Keith Casey, all of Houston. The ushers were John Anthony King, of Houston, Adrian John Maizey, of Boston, Massachusetts, and Angus Earl McSwain, of Waco, Texas.

The bride is a graduate of Stratford High School in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration at Texas A&M University, and served as president of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is currently a Manager in Management Solutions and Services at Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
