Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Ross of Center have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kerri Ross, to Mike Matheny. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Matheny of Columbia.

The prospective bride is a graduate of Mark Twain High School in Center and attends the University of Missouri-Columbia, majoring in English.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Rockbridge High School and attends the University of Missouri-Columbia, majoring in hotel and restaurant management.

The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Sept. 11, 2004 at the Center Baptist Church in Center.
