Miss Paige Elizabeth Wood and Mr. Ronald Louis May, Jr. were united in marriage November 10, 2001 at seven o'clock in the evening at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Dallas Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Dr. Ronald Wesley Scates and Dr. Robert R. Covington, Jr. A reception followed at Northwood Club with music provided by Bullet Proof Brass. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's family hosted a rehearsal dinner at the University Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Glenn Wood of Kingwood, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Daniel Skelton of Montgomery, Texas and Mrs. Opal Wood and the late Mr. Claude Irvin Wood of Navasota, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Louis May of Kingwood, Texas and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross Albert Blair and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Harrison May.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Paige selected an exquisite gown of ivory silk-faced satin designed by Janell Berte. Worn sleeveless, the fitted elongated bodice featured a bateau neckline and was hand-embroidered and beaded in a delicate floral pattern. Falling in soft pleats from beneath the dropped waist, the skirt flowed into a gentle sweep. The bride's ensemble was completed with the addition of a two-tiered veil, rolled in satin trim, of cathedral length.
Miss Wrynn Marie Wood served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Stacie Falk Goldman, Miss Beverly Christian Grammer, Mrs. Elizabeth Farrell Hilcher, Mrs. Ember Peterson Owen, all of Dallas, Mrs. Courtney Meadows Flake of Austin, Miss Jennifer Ann Heigel of Australia, and Mrs. Michele Egan Wood, sister-in-law of the bride, of Colorado. Members of the House Party were Mrs. Kristi Carter Baksht, Mrs. Emily Smith Mills both of Dallas, Mrs. Wendy Gallerano Dalton, Miss Shannon Jean Thomas both of Houston. Flower Girls were Ashley Christine Alspaugh, Amanda Blair Kelly, Andrea Clarice Morrison, Clare Elizabeth Morrison, and Katherine Marie Morrison, nieces of the groom.
Mr. Brian David Walker of Houston served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Richard Dean Alspaugh, Jr., brother-in-law of the groom, of Kingwood, Mr. Gary Alan Buffington, Mr. Scott Francis Fitzharris, Mr. Scott Christopher Schmid, Mr. Michael David Wimer, all of Dallas., Dr. Jeremy Lance Weiss of New Jersey, and Mr. Clint Warren Wood, brother of the bride, of Austin. Ushers were Mr. Kevin Howard Cox, Mr. Robin Patrick Raymond, both of Houston, Mr. Jason Douglas Hatcher of Dallas, Mr. Sean Robert Kelly, brother-in-law of the groom, of Belgium, Mr. Robert Bruce Morrison, Jr., nephew of the groom, of Corpus Christi, Mr. Stephen Wayland Roth of Austin, and Mr. Reed Glenn Wood, Jr., brother of the bride, of Colorado. The Ring Bearer was Ryan Patrick Kelly, nephew of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Kingwood High School, Kingwood, Texas and received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Public Accounting degrees from the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is a business consulting manager at Andersen and a member of the Junior League of Dallas.
The groom is a graduate of Kingwood High School, Kingwood, Texas and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. He is a regional director of sales at Attenza.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Hawaiian islands of Lanai and Kauai, the couple will reside in Dallas.
