Miss Laura Green McHenry and Dr. Michael Seth Heinrich were united in marriage on Saturday, November 10, 2001, at six o'clock in the evening at Saint Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Dr. Lawrence A. Gipson, Rector of Saint Martin's Church and the Reverend Dr. John Graham. Music was provided by Mr. George Ellis Mims, organist and Director of Music, Mr. Steve Wineg, trumpeter, Mr. Lars Sloan, bagpiper, and Mrs. Nancy Curtis, soprano soloist. Scripture readings were given by Vicki Jean Lovin, aunt of the bride, of Fort Worth and Kathryn Margaret Jones, cousin of the bride, of Dallas. John Coalter Baker, junior, cousin of the bride, served as acolyte. A seated dinner and dance followed the ceremony at the Houston Country Club with music provided by the Ronnie Renfrow Orchestra. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Coronado Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adams Conover McHenry, junior and the granddaughter of Mrs. Claxton Elton Lovin and the late Dr. Claxton Elton Lovin of Fort Worth and the late Mr. and Mrs. Adams Conover McHenry of Dayton, Ohio. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Curtis Seth Heinrich of San Antonio and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Adel Nelson of Austin and the late Reverend and Mrs. Maximillian Carl George Heinrich, junior of San Antonio.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown designed for her by Lisette Lux Haute Couture.
Kimberly Riser Black of Houston served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Alexandra Randolph Beveridge, Marlo Cobb Saucedo both of Houston, Jennifer Anne Fisher of Los Angeles, California, Mary Katherine Heinrich and Melanie Elizabeth Heinrich, sisters of the groom of Austin, Robin Moll Meagher of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Karen Coates Porter of Charlotte, North Carolina. The flower girl was Emma Wood DeCamp, cousin of the bride of Alexandria, Virginia.
Bruce David Forbes of Houston served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Gerald Brad Dudney of Boerne, Jeffery Scott Hassman of San Antonio, Adams Conover McHenry, III, brother of the bride of Houston, Michael Carleton McHenry, brother of the bride of Newport Beach, California, Dr. Robert Francis Poirier, junior of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Matthew Gerard Retzloff of Hansoom, Massachusetts, and David Scott Schorlemer of Houston. The ring bearer was Garrett Edward Graham of Birmingham, Alabama.
The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School and the University of Oklahoma where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is currently employed by Abbott Laboratories as an account manager.
The groom is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio and the University of Texas were he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of Delta Tau Delta. He received the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and is currently a resident physician in anesthesiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, Dr. and Mrs. Heinrich will reside in Little Rock, Arkansas.
