Miss Amy Catherine Ellis and Mr. Clint Michael Nabors were united in marriage on Saturday, June 2, 2001 at six o'clock in the evening at Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The Reverend Don A. Storey, Sr. officiated. Special music for the ceremony was performed by Cornerstone UMC Chancel Chimes, directed by Mrs. Lynn Brewer and vocalists Mrs. Janice Thomas and Miss Kelly Thomas, accompanied by Joe Tate, organist. A reception followed at Pine Forest Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at The French Quarter Market & Grill.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lacy Ellis of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Winston B. Neely of Bellville, Texas, Mrs. Henry M. Ellis and the late Henry M. Ellis of Crockett, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael David Nabors of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Alex G. Nabors and the late Alex G. Nabors of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Gladys Neely of Porter, Texas.
Serving the bride as maid of honor was her sister Miss Katie Elizabeth Ellis. The bridesmaids were Miss Christi Jean Thomas, Mrs. Candice Garrett Conry, Miss Brandi Ann Moore and Miss Kristen Diann Nabors.
Serving in the bride's house party were Miss Kelley Marie Syzdek, Miss Amy Michelle Syzdek and Miss Lee Ann Neely. The flower girl was Miss Emily Riveire Bulkley.
The groom's Best Man was Mr. Michael David Nabors, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Mr. Christopher Que Montez, Mr. Sean David Patrick, Mr. Alfonso Escobar, V and Mr. Zachary Lynn Yeglin.
Serving as ushers were Mr. Michael Edward Ellis, Mr. Daniel Wayne Cooley, Mr. Matthew Joseph Wells and Mr. Kevin Robert Chin. Candle Lighters were Mr. Andrew Steed Ellis and Mr. John Brookfield Neely.
The bride is a graduate of Cypress Falls High School in Houston. She is attending Baylor University, and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She will be graduating Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University in Waco in December 2001 with a Bachelor of Science of Education in Mathematics.
The groom is a graduate of Cypress Creek High School in Houston. He is a graduate of Baylor University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. He is currently employed as a Realtor with Heritage Texas Properties in Houston, Texas.
Following a honeymoon to Jamaica the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
