Miss Wendy Lee Anderson and Mr. Victor Emanuel Gatto, III were united in marriage on Saturday, May 26, 2001 at seven thirty in the evening. The ceremony was officiated by The Reverend Dr. David Peterson at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston. A reception followed at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Lillie and Hugh Roy Cullen Sculpture Garden, with music provided by Yvonne Washington and the Mix. On the evening before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's family at Grappino di Nino.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Andrew Anderson of Houston. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Louis Morse of Delray Beach, Florida and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gottfried Anderson of Jamestown, New York. The groom is the son of Mrs. M. Catherine Gatto of Somerville, Massachusetts and Mr. Victor Emanuel, Junior, of Needham, Massachusetts. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Francis Quigley of Bradenton, Florida and Mrs. Victor Emanuel Gatto of Needham, Massachusetts and the late Mr. Victor Emanuel Gatto.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white silk satin with bodice of brocade and pearl beading from Reem Acra. Jennifer Gillett Seale served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Kathryn George Murray, Kelly Paden Pearce and Allison Herolz Teheng, all of Houston; Mina Breaux Coggeshall of Atlanta, Georgia, Sandra Selber Ferris of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Alicia Thomas Garrison of Dallas, Texas, Kathryn Mahoney, sister of the groom, of Concord, Massachusetts, Virginia Harrison Morsman of Boston, Massachusetts, Renee Elaine Roper of San Diego, California, and Karen Colleen Waters of Sacramento, California. Elizabeth Litton Hogan of Houston and Donald White Evers, Junior, uncle of the bride, served as readers. Molly Kate Mahoney and John Thomas Mahoney, niece and nephew of the groom, were special attendants.
Nicholas Adams Gatto, brother of the groom, of Somerville, Massachusetts, served as best man. The groomsmen were Timothy Edward Anderson, brother of the bride, of Denver, Colorado, Brian Phillip Beebe, of Atlanta, Georgia, Barret Stephen Cole, of Brookline, New Hampshire, Michael Anthony Fagone, of Saco, Maine, Matthew William Micciche, of Kennitt Square, Pennsylvania, and Shawn Daniel Roman, of Washington, D.C.
Wendy is a graduate of the Kinkaid School and the University of Richmond where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She earned her M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University this month. Vic graduated from the Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, North Carolina and Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is currently in the M.B.A. program at Vanderbilt University.
After a honeymoon on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, the couple will spend the summer in Houston before returning to Nashville.
