Jennifer Elaine Andrews of Fort Worth and Joel Lee Moore of Houston exchanged wedding vows May 19, 2001 at six o'clock in the evening at University Christian Church. The Reverend Cyndy Twedell of Fort Worth officiated. Music was performed by organist, Betty Boles and the University Christian Hand-Bell Choir. A reception followed at Shady Oaks Country Club where guests were greeted and dined to the music of The Islanders of Fort Worth and danced to the music of Taboo of Austin. The ballroom was transformed into a Polynesian setting by Lonnie Kincannon and Jim Irwin Floral Designs. Cakes were provided by Sandy Chang. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening at Joe T Garcia's.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eugene Andrews, Jr. of Fort Worth. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eugene Andrews, Sr. of Fort Worth and Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Hansen of Granbury. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Jack Strickland Moore of Houston. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lee Moore of Brenham, Earl R. Hunt of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the late Emma Jean Whigham.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown of champagne silk taffeta designed by Badgley Mischka. The strapless ballgown's bodice was adorned with silver, pearl, and crystal beading and a band of illusion with the consistent beading. The bride's veil was enhanced with a crystal headband and a double layer of illusion falling to her shoulders. Her pearls were accented by a cameo passed down three generations on her mother's side.
Maid of honor was Emelie Beth Andrews, sister of the bride, from Fort Worth. Bridesmaids were Lauren Elizabeth Elford of Houston, Sarah Ruth Conkling of Fort Worth, Julie Beth Link of Fort Worth, Jennifer Hollie Fick of New York, New York, Christine Kelly Koon of Dallas, Sara Elizabeth Hagood of Dallas, Jennifer Ashley Harwell of Dallas, and Lindsey Erin Jewett of Dallas. Best men included Johnston Walker of Houston and John Andrew Moore, brother of the groom, from Houston. Groomsmen were Matthew Fuqua of Houston, Michael Fuqua of Houston, Robert Stewart of Houston, Garner Perry Strickland IV of Houston, Bryce Fraser of New York, New York, Erik Lind of Morgan City, Louisiana, and William Derby of Pinehurst, North Carolina. The bride's House Party was composed of Patricia Alyson Muckleroy of Fort Worth and Sean Erin Andrews, the bride's sister in law, from Forth Worth. Ushers included Christopher Paul Andrews, the bride's brother, of Forth Worth, William Beriah Graham of Austin, James Lee of Houston, and John Pacini of Houston.
The bride received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. The groom received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is employed by Hydrade Beverage Company in Dallas.
After a honeymoon in Maui the couple plan to reside in Dallas, Texas.
