LeBLANC - MARCO

Miss Stacy Ann LeBlanc
Weds
Mr. Michael Robert Marco

Miss Stacy Ann LeBlanc and Mr. Michael Robert Marco were united in marriage on Saturday, 2 December 2000, at two o'clock in the afternoon at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The Nuptial Mass was officiated by the Reverend Phi Nguyen with readings by Mrs. Susanne Bastian Marco of San Antonio. Music was provided by Mr. Daryel Nance, Organist, and Ms. Kathy Hwa, Flutist. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Houston Engineering and Scientific Society, beautifully coordinated by Ms. Amy Banks. The groom's parents hosted a party at their home the evening before the wedding.

Stacy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. LeBlanc, Sr., of Friendswood, and the late Mrs. Joyce Segrest LeBlanc. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Segrest of Brandywine, Mississippi, and Houston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jean Ozer LeBlanc, Sr., of Abbeville, Louisiana.

Mike is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Marco of Houston. He is the grandson of Mrs. Belle Marco and the late Mr. Lazar Marco of Detroit, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert McLaughlin of Detroit.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a duchess satin dress adorned with very intricate beading. The wide strap of the tank top corresponded to the same set-in band at the slight dropped waist, that met a very full shirred Chapel length skirt. The entire edge of the dress was bored with an attached banding of beading, the back accented with a beaded bow and steamers. The bridesmaids' dresses, designed by the bride, were sleeveless tops of taupe vines embroidered on black with taupe scalloping at the waistline and full length black satin skirts, handmade by Caroline's Alterations.

Miss Amber Nichols of Houston and Mrs. Leticia Herrera McGuffey of Missouri City attended as Maid and Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Courtney LeBlanc and Miss Elyse LeBlanc, bride's nieces, of Friendswood; Mrs. Kelly Marco McQuerry, groom's sister, of Houston; Mrs. Becky Wetzel Kirkpatrick of Friendswood; Mrs. Deborah Ward Ladas of Boston; and Miss Ramona Froeschl of Arlington.

Mr. Christopher Marco, groom's brother, of San Antonio, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Tim Marco, groom's brother, of Katy; Mr. Christopher Marco and Mr. Patrick Marco, groom's sons of Houston; Mr. John McQuerry, of Houston; Mr. William E. LeBlanc, Jr., bride's brother, of Friendswood; Mr. Curtis Schwake of Austin; and Mr. Darrell Brissette of Harlingen. The bride's ring was carried by Mr. Ethan McQuerry, groom's nephew. The groom's ring was carried by Mr. Travis LeBlanc, bride's nephew.

Stacy, a graduate of Friendswood High School, earned her BS degree in Biomedical Science and MS degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences from Texas A&M University and her MBA from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She is currently the Animal Facility Operations Manager at the UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Mike, a graduate of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, earned his BS degree in Economics and Finance from Texas A&M University and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. He is owner of Marco Consulting, specializing in sales training.

Following a honeymoon in Fredericksburg, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Marco reside in Houston. They will always be grateful to Mrs. Paula Long LeBlanc for her quick thinking in obtaining, with assistance from Mr. Robert McGuffey, beautiful flowers for the bridal party in the absence of the florist. Deepest gratitude and love to our parents and to Miss Hazel "Sissy" Segrest for making this day possible.
