Maniscalco - Woods
Kristy Leigh Maniscalco and Jory James Woods were united in marriage Saturday, May 12, 2001 at seven-thirty in the evening at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston. The nuptial mass was celebrated by Reverend Frank Fabj. A reception followed at Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook with music by The Eclipse.
On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner was hosted in the Viewfinder's Terrace at Moody Garden's Hotel.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Maniscalco of Dickinson and the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Maniscalco and Mr. Paul Rhodd both of Houston and the late Mr. Anthony Maniscalco, Jr. and Mrs. Colleen Rhodd.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Woods of McAllen, TX and the grandson of Ms. Marie Woods of Donna, TX, Mr. Jim Woods of Mesa, AZ, Mr. and Mrs. Don Motley of Eagle Grove, IA and the late Mrs. Thelma Motley.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride selected a beautiful white tulle gown designed by Madeline Gardner of Mori Lee. The satin bodice is accented with a wide band of imported crystals and pearls that accent the V-shape neckline. The simplicity of the satin bodice is highlighted with a basque waist that has been accented once again with a wide banding of crystal and pearl trim. The multi-layered tulle skirt is finished with a trim of soutache at the hemline. A custom headpiece enhanced with crystals and pearls was paired with diamond white illusion veiling to perfect her romantic ensemble.
Mrs. Tracie Lynn Maniscalco-DiVirgilio, sister of the bride served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Rebecca O'Neal, Tamera Bell, Yvette Trevino and Shannon Riser.
Mr. Joseph Espinoza, best friend of the groom served as best man. The groomsmen were Todd O'Neal, Nicholas DiVirgilio, Tommy Lee and Jake Riser.
Ushers were Brian Motley, Chad Bass, Kenneth Alexander, Jess Young and Jason Lauver.
Members of the house party included Nicole Woods, Leslie Sawyer and Leslie Brock.
Soloist was Julie Cummings, Trumpeter was Samuel Cummings, both of which are personal family friends. Organist was Mr. Leo Hock of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The bride is a graduate of Dickinson High School. She is currently employed by Coldwell Banker, United and J.A.M. Distributing Company.
The groom is a graduate of Crockett High School of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is currently employed at J.A.M. Distributing Company.
Following a honeymoon trip to Maui, The Woods' will reside in League City. Kristy and Jory would like to thank their parents for all of their loving care and support. We are blessed with such a wonderful family, we love you!
