Miss Sally Ann Huntoon, formerly of Clear Lake City, and Mr. Michael Anthony Vitali of Lynn, Massachusetts were united in marriage on Sunday, September 3, 2000 at half-past four o'clock in the afternoon at Church of the Covenant on Newbury Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The Reverends George Magnuson and Carrie Doerhing officiated, and Father Gregory Mercurio of Holy Family Parish blessed the marriage. Dinner and dancing followed in the Plaza Ballroom of the Seaport Hotel on the waterfront in Boston.
The bride is the daughter of longtime Houston residents Carolyn and Harrison Huntoon, now of Arlington, Virginia and the groom is the son of Mary and Samuel Vitali of Lynn. The bride is the granddaughter of Howard Huntoon, Sr. and the late Sally Hibbert Huntoon of Little Compton, Rhode Island, and the late Anthony Claude and Lucille Goodwin Leach of Leesville, Louisiana. The groom is the grandson of Rocco DeFilippo, the late Catherine Nicholopoulos DeFilippo and the late Salvatore and Mildred Policastro Vitali, all of Lynn.
The bride graduated from Clear Lake High School and the groom from St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts. Both were 1993 graduates of Dartmouth College; the bride was a member of Epsilon Kappa Theta Sorority and the groom was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. The groom graduated from Boston University Law School and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. He is an attorney with the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services in Brockton, Massachusetts. The bride graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Boston and Boston Medical Center and will began a pediatric intensive care fellowship at Children's Hospital this year.
Following a trip to Paris and the Basque region of Spain, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Vitali make their home in Brookline, Massachusetts.
