Miss Kimberly Ann Heist and Mr. Michael Stephen Callahan were united in marriage on Saturday, March 31st, 2001 at six o'clock in the evening at The Houstonian Hotel in Houston, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Scott Jones. A reception and seated dinner followed at The Manor House at The Houstonian Hotel. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Carrabba's Restaurant.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Allen Heist of Gloucester, Virginia and the late Barbara Heist of Media, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ford of Media, Pennsylvania and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Heist of Brunswick, Georgia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Callahan of Frisco, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. Joseph DeYoreo and the late Myra DeYoreo of Brooklyn, New York and Mrs. Margaret Callahan and the late Joseph Callahan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Jennifer Quick, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and Miss Patricia Callahan, sister of the groom, served as Maid of Honor. Mr. Scott Callahan and Mr. Robert Callahan, brothers of the groom, served as Best Men. Ushers were Mr. Patrick Quick and Mr. Mark Sparrow. Master Christopher Callahan, nephew of the groom, served as Ring Bearer and Miss Morgan Spitzer served as Flower Girl.
The bride is a graduate of Penncrest High School in Media, Pennsylvania and Rice University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Managerial Studies. She is Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations for Camden Property Trust.
The groom is a graduate of Duncanville High School and The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. He is currently a partner in the Lassiter Callahan Law Firm.
Following a honeymoon in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Houston.
