BAILEY - JUNELL

Miss Jenna Elizabeth Bailey
Weds
Mr. William Harrison Junell

Miss Jenna Elizabeth Bailey and Mr. William Harrison Junell were united in marriage on Saturday, March 17, 2001, at half past seven in the evening at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Monsignor Edward Randall. Celtic music was preformed by Wyndnwyre as guests were seated. Dan Shipman and George Chase played a trumpet fanfare before the bride entered. The Houston Boychoir provided music during the marriage vows accompanied by Ambient Arts Chamber Orchestra. A reception followed at the Houston Country Club with music by Tyrone Smith Revue of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sharon Montgomery. The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at the Coronado Club in Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kenneth Bailey, junior of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Anthony Maida of Beaumont and the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kenneth Bailey. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Junell, junior, of Houston. He is the grandson of The Honorable William Edward Junell, of Houston, the late Mrs. Junell, the late Mrs. Dorothy Jeanne Harrison, and Mr. Carl James Harrison.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted her father. She wore an exquisite couture gown designed by Vera Wang of New York. The white silk satin organza gown featured a strapless neckline with a bodice hand embroidered with silver bullion and Austrian crystals. A box pleat skirt fell to a sweeping cathedral length train, where the crystals and hand embroidery were repeated and adorned the hem edge. Her headpiece, an antique 19th century diamond and moon stone tiara from Fred Leighton, New York, held her veiling of silk illusion sprinkled with crystals. Framing her face and shoulders, the veiling fell, in tiers, to the hem of her train and beyond. She carried a bouquet of white peonies, white hydrangeas, and Irish shamrocks. The bridesmaids wore blue silk taffeta gowns designed by the bride and carried bouquets of spring roses, muscari, and viburnum.

Mrs. Sheri McIntire Bailey, sister-in-law of the bride, of Houston, served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Ashley Dawn Edson, Mrs. Gillian Maness Jenkins, both of Dallas, Miss Jane Marie Roark, of Denver, Colorado, Miss Kendall Macari Coleman, Miss Ann Elizabeth Junell, sister of the groom, Miss Kendall Evan Langley, Miss Sarah Elizabeth Sibley, Miss Brandy Michelle Smith, all of Houston, Miss Marjorie Anne Wells of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Miss Leigh Elizabeth Toney of New York, New York. The flower girl was Miss Abigail Janelle Henningsen, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey Henningsen of Houston.

The groom's father, Mr. William Edward Junell, junior, and brother, Mr. Mark Alan Junell, both of Houston served as best men.

The groomsmen were Mr. Kenneth Camp Bailey, brother of the bride, Mr. Clay Terrell Condrey, Mr. James Thompson Lee III, Mr. James Fletcher Murchison, Mr. William Roche Murphy, Jr., all of Houston, Mr. William Brent Burney, of Dallas, Mr. John Schofield Bundy, Mr. Darren Leete Myers, both of Austin, and Mr. Robert Christopher Semple of New York, New York. Master Drew Alexander Putnam, son of The Doctors Russell and Christine Putnam of Houston, served as ring bearer.

The ushers were Mr. William Freeman Burnett, Mr. Casey Joseph Knust, both of Dallas, Mr. Colby Clarence Crenshaw of Beaumont, Mr. Travis Hunter Cameron, Mr. Matthew Richard Fuqua, both of Houston, Mr. Michael Lee Fuqua, of Washington D.C., and Mr. Lane Heath Walker of New York, New York.

Serving as honor attendants for the bride were Miss Amy Kaye Granger of Dallas, Mrs. Carley Snowden Holmes of Fort Worth, Miss Molly Belknap Russell of Lubbock, Mrs. Kacy Cole Yarbro of Beaumont, Miss Julie Blaine Barrett, Miss Margaret Elizabeth Griffin, Miss Julie Carter Huber, and Miss Kristen Leslie Mullen, all of Houston.

The bride is a graduate of Monsignor Kelly High School in Beaumont, and the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Learning and Development and was an Account Executive for Jackson & Company in Houston.

The groom is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, and The University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and The Silver Spurs. He received his Bachelor of Liberal Arts and is employed at Southwest Bank of Texas in Houston in their medical lending division.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Hawaiian islands of Lani and Hawaii, Mr. and Mrs. William Harrison Junell will reside in Houston, Texas.
