Miss Laura Elizabeth Moore and Mr. Michael William Vietor were united in marriage Saturday, March 17, 2001 at four in the afternoon at First Baptist Church, Port Neches. Pastor David Mahfouz officiated the double ring ceremony. A reception followed at the home of the bride with the music by Zona Jones and Swing West. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Sartin's Seafood on the eve of the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. David Moore of Port Neches. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Eason of Kirbyville and Mrs. Verline Moore and the late Oscar F. Moore of Port Neches. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Vietor of College Station.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Laura Beth wore an elegant gown of ivory silk-faced satin designed by Lazaro of New York. The sculpted bodice was fashioned from an elaborate design of embroidery with delicate beading highlighted by an antique gold thread. From the natural waistline fell a full box pleated skirt, which swept into a chapel length train. To complete her ensemble, Laura Beth chose an antique gold tiara accented with pearls designed by Paris Tiaras. Her blusher and cathedral length veil, designed by Karen Fenaroli of Regalia Veils, was finished with a round satin cord. She carried a round pave' bouquet consisting of pastel colored roses.
Miss Jamie Lyda of Port Neches served as maid of honor and Mrs. Robin Kollatschny of Houston served as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Kay Lani Sturrock of Dallas, Karolina Zelinka of Houston, and Alexandra Nicholas of Beaumont. Tracey Rogers, Audrey Sisk, and Andrea Whiteley, cousins of the bride, served as flower girls. Miss Debbie Kaplan, Miss Heather Hardin, Miss Angelica Rodriguez, Mrs. Shawn Morehead, Miss Molly Kennedy, Miss Klara Zelinka, Miss Vanessa Shannon, Mrs. Diane Miller and Mrs. Laura Maupin were members of the house party.
Serving as best man was Travis Thompson of College Station. Groomsmen were David Grenardo of Colorado Springs, Brent Huffman of Cleburne, Colin Moore and Lance Parks of Port Neches. Landon Bell, cousin of the bride, served as the ring bearer. Serving as ushers were Justin Olivier, Mark LeDoux, Greg Gaspard, David and Joe Hornberger.
The bride is a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School. She earned a B.A. from Rice University where she played volleyball. She is currently a second year law student at the University of Houston Law Center and a law clerk for Provost

The groom is a graduate of A & M Consolidated. He earned a B.S. from Rice University where he played football. He is a Mechanical Engineer at Williams Gas Pipeline in Houston.
Following a honeymoon in Italy, the couple will reside in Houston.
