Miss Laurel Ann Leszinske and Mr. Mark Patrick Ranney were united in marriage at 7:30 in the evening February 3, 2001 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Deacon Don Burns.
Music was provided by organist Marcus St. Julian and vocals by soloist Paul Schweiger.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Omni Houston Hotel with music provided by C'vere.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Las Alamedas Mexican Restaurant.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William O. Leszinske, Sr.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Harriette Ortlund and the late Mr. Robert Ortlund of Rochelle, Illinois, and Mrs. Isabelle Leszinske and the late Mr. Otto Leszinske of Rochelle, Illinois.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ranney.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Helen Hunsaker and the late Mr. Charles M. Hunsaker of Pueblo, Colorado and the late Mrs. Joy Ranney of Pensacola, Florida and Mrs. Meigs Ranney and the late Dr. J. Buckminster Ranney of Chevy Chase, Maryland.
Mrs. Nancy Cofran, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Albrecht, Laura Leszinske, Amy Moragues, Rachelle Rowe, Christie Simpson, and Carrie Wright. Charlotte Elizabeth Leszinske and Caroline Grace Leszinske, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls.
Mr. Brian Ranney, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Scott Cofran, William Leszinske, Jr., William Liucci, Gabriel Lopez, MD, Brian Rebecek, and Jay Reid.
Other attendants included readers Gavin Burns and Gale Biers and cross-bearer Michael Andrew Craig Biers.
The bride is a graduate of Klein Forest High School in Houston, Texas. She earned her B.S. in Health Education from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Houston. She is employed by Compaq Computer Corporation as a business-planning analyst in the North America Industry Standard Server group.
The groom is a graduate of Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas. He earned his BBA in Production/Operation Management from Texas A&M University. He is employed by BMC Software as a revenue analyst.
The couple will reside in Cypress, Texas after a honeymoon in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
