Lisa Lee Ehrlich and Edward Marshall Malone were united in Holy Matrimony on February 3, 2001 at 7 o'clock in the evening at Holy Rosary Church in Houston, Texas. Reverend John R. Whitley, C.S.B. and Deacon Larry Vaclavik officiated the candlelight ceremony. Music was arranged by Robyn Reso, who was accompanied by organist, Riyahee Hong, and trumpeter, Neil Woolworth. A special reading of the Irish Blessing was given by Robert Lewis Ehrlich, brother of the bride. Dinner and dancing followed at the le Grand Salon de la Comtesse at La Colombe d'Or, with music provided by the Next Level. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Damian's.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tracy Ehrlich of Follett, Texas and Marilyn and James Snider of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Aasaph and Otilla Ehrlich of Follett, Texas and the late James and Marion Lee Minor of Post, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Marshall Malone of Beeville, Texas. He is the grandson of the late August and Edith Bluntzer of Corpus Christi, Texas and the late Marshall and Grace Fox Malone of Tampico, Mexico and Blanconia, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk gown by Amsale of New York. Mrs. Angela Ellis Derbes of College Station served as Matron of Honor and Miss Gisele Francoise de Chabert of New York served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included, Miss Kalyn Laney of Austin, Dr. Melissa Moody Rich of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Miss Karlyn Keuter and Mrs. Kimberly Lynn Richardson both of Houston, and Miss Patricia B. Malone, sister of the groom, of Austin.
Members of the house party included, Mrs. Melanie Petsch Ehrlich, sister-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Molly Malone Farmer, sister of the groom, and Miss Mary Anne Nidiry of Baltimore, Maryland.
Serving his brother as best man was Mr. Michael Robert Malone of Houston. Groomsmen included, Mr. Tyler McKenzie Allen of Austin, Dr. Eric Herrman Stocker of San Antonio, Mr. Abdulaziz A. Al Helaissi of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Mr. Federico Luigi Pensotti of Dallas, and Mr. Drew Tadaaki Tingleaf and Fereed Mangalji, both of Houston.
Lisa graduated as Valedictorian from Follett High School in Follett, Texas and Magna cum Laude from Texas Tech University, where she was Homecoming Queen in 1988 and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She graduated from Medical School at UTMB in Galveston and then attended residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is currently in private practice at the Medical Clinic of Houston and has a clinical appointment at Baylor College of Medicine.
Ted is a graduate of St. Stephens High School in Austin and the University of Texas where he received a Masters of Business Administration. He is currently a principle at MRE Consulting in Houston.
Following a honeymoon to Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile, the couple will reside in Houston.
