Miss Jennifer Lynn Pye and Mr. Adam Pendleton Cox were united in marriage at an outdoor wedding on Saturday, July 1, 2000 at seven thirty in the evening on the lawn of the Four Seasons Hotel, overlooking Town Lake, in Austin, Texas. Rabbi Barton Schactel and Reverend Chuck Freeman officiated at the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by Barton Strings with a special duet sung by dear family friends Marie Seidel and her daughter Kelly Curran. On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner was given by the grooms family at the Salt Lick restaurant.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rochelle Lynn Pye and Mr. H. Walter Pye, Jr. of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Leah Lynn and the late Mr. William Lynn, formerly of Dallas, now living in Houston and Mrs. H. Walter Pye and the late Mr. H. Walter Pye of Houston. The groom is the son of Mrs. Dante Nacoli, formerly of Dallas, now living in Mass City, Michigan and Mr. Robert Cox of Dallas, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Willis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cox of Dallas, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by both parents the bride wore a white duchess satin gown designed by Vera Wang of New York. The fitted dropped waist bodice had a sabrina neckline and was sleeveless with duchess satin buttons down the back. The full skirt had a dramatic split at the back with flowing white layered tulle accented with white silk orchids and lillies of the valley. As a finishing touch, Jennifer wore a sheer white Cathedral length veil adorned with Austrian crystals and pearls.
Miss Andrea Gaedcke of Houston served as maid of honor and the grooms father, Mr. Robert Cox served as best man. Miss Samantha Faye Pulaski served as flower girl and Mr. Andrew Buck Tower was ring bearer.
The bride attended St. Johns school and graduated from Lamar High School. She graduated college from the University of Texas where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is presently working as a real estate agent for Greenwood King Properties.
The groom is a graduate of Highland Park High School and Southern Methodist University where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is currently employed by Westvaco as National Sales Manager, U.S. for Commercial Sales.
Following their Hawaiian honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Cox will reside in Houston.
