Rachael Ann Zeller became the bride of Kenneth Vincent Herz on Saturday, June 17, 2000 in the sanctuary of Congregation Beth Israel. Rabbis David Whiman and James Kessler and Cantor Robert Gerber performed the candlelit ceremony, which was followed by dinner and dancing in the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel. On the eve of the wedding, the Rehearsal Dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at La Colombe D'or.
Rachael is the daughter of Doctor and Mrs. Robert Stuart Zeller of Houston, Texas and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cooper of Yonkers, New York and the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Zeller of Buffalo, New York.
Kenneth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Max Herz, Jr. of Galveston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Ravel of Austin, Texas and the late Dorothy Ray Ravel also of Austin, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Max Herz of Galveston, Texas.
Sarah Victoria Zeller served as her sister's Maid of Honor, Allison Dreeben Zeller, sister-in-law of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and Melanie Margaret Herz, sister of the groom, served as the Bridesmaid.
Members of the bride's Houseparty included Jill Lichtenstein Deuster, Nicole Nathan Gibson, Karen Hankamer Horne, Melissa Milton Knauth, Lara Leibman, Stephanie Barbara Lerner, Heather Christine McLemore, Clare Crosswell McLeroy and Mary Eliza Lovett Shaper.
Irwin Max Herz, Jr., father of the groom, acted as his son's Best Man. Groomsmen included Travis Wade Hanson, Robert Gene Houck, William Henry Langston, III, Michael Reid Suhler and Joshua Mark Zeller, brother of the bride. Ushering were Jason Adam Buchman, Peter Alfred Cooper, Todd Maas Frankfort, Adrian Felipe Hernandez, Brian David Masel, Todd Simon Masel and Dean Jack Sioukas.
Rachael graduated from The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She is a first grade teacher at The Kinkaid School.
Kenneth is a graduate of Ball High School in Galveston, Texas and Rice University in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of The Columbia University School of Law and is an associate with Haynes and Boone, LLP.
Following their wedding trip to Paris, France, Rachael and Kenneth will make their home in Houston.
