Julia Ann Bantle and Jonathan Erik Axelrad were united in marriage on Sunday, April 2, 2000 at 6 o'clock in the evening at the Omni Houston Hotel.
Julia is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Frank J. Bantle, Sr. of Houston. Jonathon is the son of Ms. Mimi Gabriel of San Francisco and Dr. & Mrs. David Axelrad of Houston.
Rabbi Jack Segal and Cantor David Propis performed the ceremony, which was followed by dinner and dancing in the grand ballroom of the Omni Hotel. Music for the ceremony, a string trio, was provided by Angela Holley and Avalon Music. Music for the reception was provided by "The Ricky Diaz Band". On Saturday, Ms. Mimi Gabriel, mother of the groom, hosted a luncheon at Ouisie's table. That evening, Dr. & Mrs. David Axelrad hosted the rehearsal dinner at Gatherings.
Ms. Margot Leach of Mobile, Alabama served as the Bride's Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were; Lisa Grantham, Jennifer Naples, Aura Motiska and sisters of the groom, Erin Axelrad, Elyse Rosen, and Lauri Sack. The Groom's Best Man was Derk Dicke. The Groomsmen were; Chris Axelrad, Larry Baum, Chad Dennis, David Sack, Gary Schumacher, and the brides brother Frank J. Bantle, Jr. Flower girls were Haley and Janet Goren. Ring bearers were Ryan Sack and Gregory Bantle.
Julia is a graduate of St. Agnes Academy, San Diego State University and Boston University where she received her Masters of Social Work Degree. Jonathon is a graduate of Bellaire High School, University of California at San Diego, and the University of Houston Law School. Julia and Jonathon honeymooned on the islands of Morea, Bora Bora, and Tahiti. They are currently residing in Houston.
