Miss Colleen Anne Baxter and Mr. Michael Lee Herst were united in marriage on Saturday, July 1, 2000, at eight o'clock in the evening at The Junior League of Houston.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Baxter III, of Houston. The groom is the son of Mrs. Rosa C. Herst and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Herst of Houston. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parent at Treebeards.
Maura Baxter and Meggin Baxter, sisters of the bride, served as Maids of Honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Butler, Ruth Hathaway, Rachel Schwartz, Jessica Snyder, and Julie Tellepsen. Members of the House Party were Alexis Drake, Lynn Edone, Daniella Fanarof, Susan Farley, and Helene Gotthelf.
Jay Sonnenberg, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Myles Faulkner, Shawn Heilbron, Greg Lempel, Artoush Ohanian, Juan Sosa and Jack Woods. Ushers were Shawn Doctor, Steven Hajizade, Michael Nichols, Philip Stark and Steve Wachsberg.
The bride is a graduate of Bellaire High School and Texas Christian University. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. The groom is a graduate of Bellaire High School and University of Texas at Austin where he received a BBA in Business Administration.
Following a honeymoon trip to France and Italy, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Herst will reside in Austin.
