Reidmeyer - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carroll Reidmeyer of Hannibal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Arch United Methodist Church, south on U.S. 61.
Nellie Ruth Hall and Robert Carroll Reidmeyer were united in marriage on Aug. 12, 1951, at the First Methodist Church in Kirksville.
The Rev. Fred P. Hanes officiated.
Attendants were Shirley Hall, sister of the bride, and Lee Hall, brother of the bride.
Mrs. Reidmeyer is the daughter of the late Olin and Vera Hall. Mr. Reidmeyer is the son of the late Archie and Virginia Reidmeyer.
They are the parents of three children, Mark A. Reidmeyer of Freeburg, Carole R. Martin of Kingsport, Tenn., and Phyllis R. Painting of Lee's Summit.
They have seven grandchildren.
Mr. Reidmeyer served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Vocational Rehabilitation.
He retired from the Social Security Administration.
Mrs. Reidmeyer had been a teacher and is retired from working in civil service and being an office clerk.
They enjoy gardening, visiting children and grandchildren, and taking part in various activities in their church.
Both are members of the National Association of Federal Employees.
Friends and relatives are invited to the reception.
