Angelyn Evette Edwards and Jared Isaac Levinthal were united in marriage Saturday March 27, 1999 at 7:30 in the evening at The Commander's Room in San Antonio, Texas. Rabbi Ted Sanders and Father James Janish officiated the double ring ceremony. Cantor Robert Gerber and The Richard Helsley String Quartet provide the music for the ceremony.
A reception followed at The Plaza Club with music provided by Klockwork. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Crystal Ballroom of the Camberley Gunter Hotel. On the day of the wedding, the bride's grandmothers, Mrs. Evelyn Barbee and Mrs. Barbara Edwards, hosted the bridesmaid luncheon at Casa Rio.
Angelyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warren Edwards of Bulverde, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Evelyn Barbee and the late Gerald Clark Barbee of San Antonio, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Hemple Lee Edwards of Canyon Lake, Texas.
Jared is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Levinthal of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Morton Samuel Plotsky of Austin, Texas and Mrs. Doris Levinthal and the late Leon Levinthal, Jr. of Houston, Texas.
The bride's sister, Miss Aimee Charlette Edwards of Austin, Texas was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Tara Lea Levinthal, sister of the groom, of Houston, Texas, Miss Kathleen Anne Gower of Austin, Texas, Mrs. Allison Moss Elliott of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Lori Ann Elwood of Houston, Texas. Miss Elisa Nicole Edwards, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Members of the houseparty included Miss Ashley Nicole Baumel, cousin of the groom, of Austin, Texas, Miss Jennifer Michelle Copeland of Sour Lake, Texas, Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Hogan of Houston, Texas, Miss Julie Ann Ringold of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Sara Beth Robins of Houston, Texas.
The groom's brothers, Mr. Rhett Louis Levinthal of Houston, Texas and Mr. Asher Leon Levinthal of Los Angeles, California served as best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Zachary Charles Edwards, brother of the bride, of Lubbock, Texas, Mr. Mark Harris Elliott of Houston, Texas, Mr. John William Marosis of Houston, Texas, Mr. Kamuran Murat Tekin of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Kevin Scott Robins of Houston, Texas, Mr. David Edward Graber of New York, New York, Mr. Wyatt LeClercq Hogan of Houston, Texas and Mr. Andrew Paul Price of Houston, Texas. Serving as ushers were Mr. Britt Louis Baumel of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Corbin Jay Baumel of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Elliot Peter Oshman of Austin, Texas, Mr. Russell William Oshman of Fort Worth, Texas and Mr. Andrew Collins Oshman of Forth Worth, Texas, all cousins of the groom and Mr. Ryan Kurtin Craig of Houston, Texas.
The bride received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law and her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently an attorney with O'Quinn & Laminack in Houston, Texas.
The groom received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law where he graduated as a member of The Order of the Coif. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He is currently an attorney at Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P. in Houston, Texas.
Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Jared Levinthal will reside in Houston, Texas.
