Miss Stefani Kay Stone and Mr. Curtis Wayne Fitzgerald II were united in marriage on Saturday, June 13, 1998, at seven o'clock in the evening at Westbury United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Dr. J. D. Phillips officiated the double ring ceremony, with music by organist Sarah Winkel and vocalists Dr. Randall Zercher and Gina Panzica. A reception followed at the University Club in Post Oak Tower of the Galleria. The groom's family hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Houston Brewery on the eve of the ceremony.
Stefani is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Willis Stone of Missouri City, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill West of Missouri City, Texas and Sevie N. Stone and the late Felix W. Stone of Houston, Texas.
Curtis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Wayne Fitzgerald of Palestine, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Ives and the late Valley Humphrey, all of Palestine, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory silk shantung designed by Lila Brode. The sleeveless gown featured a princess silhouette, scooped back, and small buttons that led to three silk roses at the back. With her gown, Stefani wore a two-tiered veil of silk illusion scattered with pearls that swept past the circular court-length train of the gown.
The bride's attendants wore pale green gowns of moss crepe designed by Nicole Miller. Heather Harris of Houston, Texas served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Abigail Aldrich, Jennifer Davis, both of Houston, Texas, and Evy Poutous of Missouri City, Texas. Jena Lea West served her cousin as flower girl. Members of the bride's house party were cousins of the bride Shel Dean and Jeana Stone, Lori Griffin, Brigit Halloran, and Shanda Vannostran.
Mark Monroe of Austin, Texas served as best man to the groom. Groomsmen were Jeff Burns of Dallas, Texas, Kevin Holder, and John Tysseland, both of Houston, Texas. Ushers were James Baker, William Taylor, Russell Berry, Jarod Moss, and Troy Yamaguchi. Cousins of the bride, K. C. Dean and Jay Stone also welcomed guests.
The bride is a graduate of John Foster Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas and Texas A&M; University - College Station, Texas, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is a third year law student at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of J. J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas and The University of Texas - Austin, where he was a member of the men's soccer team and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Curtis is also a third year law student at South Texas.
Upon their return from a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, the Fitzgeralds will make their home in Houston, Texas.
