On May 30, 1998, Rebecca Gray Newton and Leland Michael Turner were married at First Christian Church of Houston with the reception following at the Briar Club.
Rebecca is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean K. Newton and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred F. Dexter, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Newton, Jr., all formerly of Houston. Leland is the son of Mrs. Flora Turner of Houston and Mr. Edward Turner of Temple, Texas, and the grandson of Ovella Phillips of Belton, Texas.
The bride graduated from Lee High School in Houston and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Houston. The groom graduated from Elsik High School in Houston, attended the University of Houston and is the owner of Turner Auto Sales of Houston.
Having returned from a honeymoon in the Hawaiian islands, they now reside in Houston.
