Miss Maribel Ortuzar and Mr. Douglas Wayne Wilson were united in marriage on June 20th, 1998 at seven o'clock in the evening at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Houston. The ceremony officiated by Deacon Wilford Hargraves and Reverend Charles Spice.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lakewood Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Maria and Adolpho Ortuzar of Houston. Bridesmaids were Elise Kimm, Lesley Henderson, Alie Payne and Jackie Rodriguez. Flower girl was Natalia Urquiala.
The groom is the son of Doris and Gerald Wilson of Smithtown, KY. Groomsmen were Michael Wilson, brother of the groom, Nick Nevel, Dan Hance and Burt Pezzarossi. Justin Cochran was the ringbearer.
The bride graduated from Clear Lake High School and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Mr. Wilson graduated from McCreary County High School in Stearns, KY and The University of Kentucky.
Following a honeymoon cruise the couple will live in Baton Rouge, LA.
