Jacquelyn Renee Janak and Norman Bradford Gibson were united in marriage on Saturday, June 20, 1998 in the afternoon at the A.D. Bruce Religion Center located on the campus of The University of Houston. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Robert Creasy, uncle of the groom. Music was provided by organist Ms. Susan Terry and vocalist Miss Johanna Bonno. A reception followed at Sugar Creek Country Club in Sugar Land. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Cafe Pappadeaux.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome John Janak of Sugar Land and the granddaughter o Mrs. Justine Janak and the late Mr. Jerome Janak and the late MR. and Mrs. Salvador J. Spinella, all of Houston. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Norman Gibson of Friendswood and the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Norman Tanner Gibson and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Rosebraugh, all of Robstown, Texas.
Jackie selected an antique white silk gown trimmed with pearls and Austrian crystals designed by Alfred Angelo. She wore an heirloom cathedral length of imported Brussel's lace which was worn by the bride's mother at her wedding.
Miss Tina Sicola, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Karin Janak, Trisha Janak, Nancy Williams, Carrie Stauffer, Ashley Washburn and Meagan Duffy. Molly Stauffer and Megan Gibson served as flowergirls. The house party consisted of Sheila Gibson, Vonnie English and Jennifer House. Mr. Harry Faust III was the best man. Serving as groomsmen were Brian Janak, Mike Hoover, Billy Bryant III, Gavin Kaszynski, Shane Miguez and Pat Gibson. Justin Treadway and Tanner Treadway served as ringbearers.
Jackie is a graduate of Dulles High School and attended the University of Houston. She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and a Sigma Chi little sister. Jackie is currently employed with Houston Cellular.
Brad is a graduate of Friendswood High School and the University of Houston. He is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and The Frontiersman. He is currently employed by KPRC Television.
Following a honeymoon to San Francisco, the couple will reside in Houston.
