Tucker - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. William E. Tucker of Hannibal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 2 p.m. to 4. p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, in the undercroft of St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal.
Marilyn Jean Frankenbach and William Eugene Tucker were united in marriage on Aug. 22, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Ely.
The Rev. A.J. Becker officiated. Attendants were Gene Pabst, Arthur Bradley, Dale Tischer, Marjorie Holliday, Shirley Nemes and Jean Dodd.
Mrs. Tucker is the daughter of the late Edwin and Nadine Frankenbach, formerly of West Ely.
Mr. Tucker is the son of the late Frank and Jessie Tucker, formerly of New London.
They are the parents of three sons, Dr. Mark Tucker and wife, Ruth, of Center, Brad Tucker of Hannibal and Breck Tucker and wife, Monica, of Jefferson City.
They have four grandchildren, James and wife, Bobbi Jo, of St. Louis, Andrew of Vista, Calif., Megan of Center and Catherine of Hannibal.
Mr. Tucker is retired from Hannibal High School as a biology teacher and has been teaching at Hannibal-LaGrange College for the past 18 years.
He is also retired from the Missouri National Guard. He enjoys gardening, helping others with fix-it jobs and reading Louis L'Amour.
Mrs. Tucker is retired from Social Security Administration as an administrative assistant.
She enjoys quilting, cooking, preserving garden produce and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Together they love to golf, play cards and travel. Since retirement they have traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, Disney World, Italy, Germany and Great Britain, and have taken several group tours throughout the U.S.
They are active members of St. John Lutheran Church.
They especially enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend the open house.
