Miss Holly Suzanne Kennedy and Mr. James Kevin Spinks were united in marriage on Saturday, January 31, 1998 at half past seven in the evening at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston. Deacon Dib Dalecki officiated at the candlelight ceremony. A reception followed at the Greenspoint Club. On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner was held at Las Alamedas.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Craig Kennedy of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Christine Kennedy and the late Mr. W. A. Kennedy and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Warren White. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lee Blaylock of Denton and Mr. and Mrs. James David Spinks of Carrollton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Webb and Mr. and Mrs. James A. Spinks.
Miss Heather Kennedy of Houston served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included: Mrs. Kathleen Gilbert, Miss Lisa Brittain, Mrs. Jenni Millington and Miss Tia Banazek. Miss Ferrell Blaylock served as the candlelighter.
Mr. Todd Herauf of Clearwater, FL served as best man. Groomsmen included: Mr. Tino Paredes, Mr. Derek Kennedy, brother of the bride, Mr. Troy wood and Mr. Wade Mikulas. Ushers were Mr. James Shumate, Mr. John Shumate and Mr. Cody White.
Holly graduated from Cypress Creek High School and the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She is currently a teacher in the Lewisville I.S.D. James graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School-Garland and the University of North Texas. He is a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is currently Accounting Manager at Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse.
The couple will honeymoon in he Eastern Caribbean in May.
