Miss Kristin Lynn Mercer and Mr. David Chace Anthony III were united in marriage on Saturday, February 7, 1998 at three o'clock in the afternoon at St. Francis Episcopal Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend William Brooks and The Reverend Dr. Richard Petranek with scripture readings given by Mrs. Laure Leighton Ms. Carrie Macek and Mrs. Jennifer Boswell.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Houston Racquet Club. The groom's parents hosted a Rehearsal Dinner on the eve of the wedding at the Courtyard on St. James Place.
The bride is the daughter Mr. and Mrs. William E. Mercer of Houston. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Anthony Jr. of Sugar Land.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Mrs. Melissa Stevens served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Kimberly Mercer, Miss Korin Mercer, Miss Sara Baker, Miss Gwen Burgess and Miss Meghan Foote. Mrs. Bradley Drake served as best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Wade Barrow, Mr. Brian Bateman, Mr. Adam Cohen, Mr. Ryan Day and Mr. Kevin Teague. The ushers for the ceremony were Mr. David Boswell, Mr. Robert Leighton, Mr. Seethal Madhavarapu, Mr. Mark Stevens and Mr. Jeff Warner.
The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio, TV, and Film from Texas Christian University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Kristin is currently employed as the National Sales Coordinator at KTXH UPN 20. The groom graduated from St. Thomas Episcopal High School. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from Baylor University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. David is currently employed as the Operations Manager for Innovative Ad Specialties.
Following a honeymoon in Cancun, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony will be at home in Houston.
