Weaver -- Bridges
DORCHESTER -- Julie Anna Weaver of Sherman and Jeremy Kayne Bridges of Collinsville were united in marriage at 3 p.m. March 17, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Dorchester. Lee Lewis of Amsterdam, Mo., officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Odell Weaver of Sherman. Grandparents are Harvey and Bertha Patterson of Sherman and the late Woodrow and Louise Weaver of Denison. She graduated from Sherman High School, Grayson County College and East Texas Baptist University.
Malissa Clark of Sherman was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lanna Rogers of Howe, Kristen Patterson of Bells and Stephanie Berry of Sherman.
Flower girl was Breana Hughes, sister of the groom, of Collinsville. Joshua Lewis of Missouri was ring bearer.
Best man was Joe Don Woody of Collinsville.
Groomsmen were Peter Lewis of Amsterdam, Mo.; Terry Bridges, brother of the groom, of Mount Ida and Mathew Davenport of Collinsville.
Ushers were Daniel Weaver, brother of the bride, of Frisco and John Lewis of Missouri.
Candlelighters were Aaron Hughes, brother of the groom, of Collinsville and Zachary Hughes of Collinsville.
Wedding music was presented by the groom, soloist, and Micah Smith of Denison, pianist.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony with the bride's parents as hosts. Music was provided by the groom's father, Bruce Bridges and his Arkansas Bluegrass Band from Christian Missions Ministry in Mount Ida.
Reception assistants included Debbie Patterson of Bells, Lyni Weaver of Poolville, Stephanie Feagan of Lewisville, Candace Hughes, sister of the groom, of Collinsville, Melody Patterson of Bells, Susana Patterson of Denton and Joanna Lewis of Missouri.
The couple will be at home at Longview after a wedding trip to Niagra Falls, Canada.
The bridegroom's parents, Sammy and Susan Hughes were hosts to a rehearsal dinner Friday, March 16 at the First Baptist Church.
