Kinamon -- Najfus
Valencia Ann Kinamon and Philip Lawrence Najfus, both of Sherman, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. March 17, 2001 at New Life Church in Sherman. Terry Brown of New Life Church officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson of Denison and the granddaugher of Angie Ramey, also of Denison. She graduated from Grayson County College with an electronic engineering technology degree. She is employed by Texas Instruments in Sherman.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Najfus III of Chicago, Ill. He graduated from The University of Arkansas with a degree in chemical engineering. He is employed by Texas Instruments in Sherman.
Given in marriage by Greg Groves of Sherman, the bride was attended by her sister, Joye Rogers of Louisville, Ky., matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Chervenak of Louisville, Ky., Barbara Collard of Yal Rico, Fla., Audrei Steward and Kim Peckenpaugh of Sherman.
Flower girl was Molly Groves of Sherman and Hunter Stone of Addison was ring bearer.
Kevin Najfus of Chicago served his brother as best man.
Groomsmen were Don Russell, Mark Smejkal and Chuck Rehor, all of Chicago, Greg Groves of Sherman and Louis Najfus IV of Atlanta, Ga., nephew of the groom.
Don Russell, Mark Smejkal, Chuck Kehor and Louis Najfus IV also served as ushers.
Candlelighters were Shannon Rogers and Phillip Rogers of Louisville, niece and nephew of the bride.
The music was recorded.
The bride and groom were hosts for a reception held at Tanglewood in the Maritime Ballroom following the ceremony.
The couple will be at home in Sherman after a wedding trip to Rome, Italy.
The bridegroom's parents were hosts to a rehearsal dinner March 16 at The Point on Lake Texoma.
