VAN ALSTYNE -- Sherri Elaine White of McKinney and Gregory Shane Moody of Van Alstyne were united in marriage at 3 p.m. March 17, 2001 at the Greywood Heights Church of God in Van Alstyne. The Rev. Chris Moody of Greywood Heights Church of God officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Frank and Brenda Lynd of McKinney. Grandparents are Wesley and Bonnye Hobbs of McKinney and Irene White of Richardson. She graduated from McKinney High School. She is employed by Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in McKinney.
The bridegroom is the son of Jerry Moody and Shirley Duty. both of Van Alstyne. Grandparents are Nell Campbell of Wolfe City and Edna Moody of Van Alstyne. He graduated from Van Alstyne High School. He is employed by AmeriCom Solutions in Allen.
Attendants for the bride were Diona Aaron, sister of the bride, of McKinney, matron of honor, and Amanda Clark of McKinney, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Aleta Trout of Wylie and Tammy Richardson of McKinney. Junior bridesmaid was Miriah Aaron of McKinney, niece of the bride.
Flower girls were Anna Lee Berlin of McKinney and Carley Moody of Van Alstyne. Ring bearers were Blake Moody, cousin of the groom, and Bryce Moody, nephew of the groom, both of Van Alstyne.
Best man was Michael Moody, brother of the groom, of Columbus, Ga.
Groomsmen were Jeff Moody, brother of the groom, Jason Risner and Jimmy Holley, all of Van Alstyne. Junior groomsman was Seth Aaron of McKinney.

A reception was held in Greywood Heights Church of God Family Worship Center.
The couple is at home in Van Alstyne after a wedding trip to San Pedro, Belize.
Jerry Moody and Shirley Duty were hosts to a rehearsal dinner March 15 at the Hurricane Creek Country Club in Anna.
