BUDA -- Cheryl Lynn Peer and Derek Russey, both of Austin, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. March 24, 2001 at the Kalikate Ranch in Buda.
The Rev. Glen McCullum of Teague officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie W. Peer of Aransas Pass. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Elsberry and the late Maxine Elsberry, and Mrs. Leila Peer and the late W.A. Peer, all of Aransas Pass. She graduated from Aransas Pass High School and Texas A&M; University. She is employed by Glazers Wholesale Distributors in Austin.
Attendants for the bride were Lori Collier of The Colony and Lisa Harris of Dallas, sisters of the bride and matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashlynn Russey of Austin, sister of the groom, Michelle McKoy of Henderson, Nev., Erin Keating of Houston, Susie Moskal of Trophy Club and Tanya Nelson of Arlington.
Flower girls were Emily Collier and Natalie Collier of The Colony, nieces of the bride, and Jacob Moore of Corpus Christi was ring bearer.
Best man was John Thomas of Austin.
Groomsmen were Kyle York of Dallas, Frank Jones of Pottsboro and Shane Gooden and Jeff Gooden, both of Sherman.
Ushers were Bruce Harris of Dallas, Randy Collier of The Colony, Cameron Russey of Sherman, brother of the groom, and Jared Moore of Corpus Christi. Scripture reader was Geri Gabriel of Austin.
Wedding music was presented by The Barton Strings Trio of Austin and Gary Slechta of Austin, trumpeter.

Reception assistants included Cara Russey of Sherman, sister of the groom, Courtney Collier of The Colony, Maggie Ann Moore of Corpus Christi and Geri Gabriel of Austin.
The couple will be at home in Austin after a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii.
Mr. and Mrs. Danny Russey and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Williams, parents of the groom, were hosts to a rehearsal dinner March 23 at Z'Tejas Restaurant in Austin.
