Jamie Sheree Monroe and Robert Lee Sever were married at 3 p.m. Aug. 4, 2001 at Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Dallas with Noel D. Wells of Bells, the bride's uncle, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Bob and Shirley Monroe of Flower Mound. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Monroe of Denison and Ms. Edna Potter of Bells.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Coppell High School. She will graduate from Abilene Christian University Aug. 20, 2001, with a bachelor of science degree in social work and intends to seek employment in that field.
The bridegroom is the son of John and Liz Sever of Abilene. He is a 1993 graduate of Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, Mo. He is currently employed as a supervisor for Target, Inc. in Kansas City, Mo.
The bride was escorted by her father. Her attendants were Brooke Fuston of Lewisville, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Gaylor of Fort Worth, Christian Hollwarth of Lubbock and Alisha Perkins of Silver Spring, Md.
Flower girls were Morgan Ruble of Copper Canyon and Amber Welch of Abilene, niece of the groom. The ringbearer was Jonathan Welch of Abilene, nephew of the groom.
The groom's best man was his life-long friend Mark Valentine of Kansas City, Mo. Groomsmen were Dave Affolter of Kansas City, Mo., Kyle Grigsby and Chad Stone, both of Abilene.
Ushers were Jeremy Monroe of Dallas, brother of the bride, and Phil Bures of Kansas City, Mo.
Following a short honeymoon to New Orleans, the couple will return to Abilene to attend the bride's Aug. 10 graduation from Abilene Christian University. After graduation, the couple will make their new home in Kansas City, Mo.
